Relationships Anchored in Strength for Everyone

Survivor and Child Treatment
Relationships Anchored in Strength for Everyone serves survivors and children of domestic violence. Survivors who have experienced abuse will be guided through the healing process by professional clinicians in a therapeutic setting. Children who have witnessed domestic violence in their family will have the opportunity to process and understand the hurting that happened in their family. This treatment aims to help break the silence of domestic violence and empower survivors with coping skills and the ability to move forward.

Services include:

  • Assessments
  • Individual Therapy
  • Case Management
  • Therapy Groups

Survivor’s and Children Groups
The Survivors group is a safe, therapeutic and supportive environment where trained clinicians provide an opportunity for survivors to experience mental health treatment, gain healing, increase empowerment and learn how to effectively support their child’s healing. Children of domestic violence Survivors may participate in a specialized program that explores the effects of witnessing domestic violence in an age-appropriate setting.

RAISE-Batterer’s Treatment
Relationships Anchored in Strength for Everyone also treats batterers in order to provide comprehensive treatment to family units. Evidence-based curriculum is followed, “creating a process of change for men who batter”, which is approved through ICADV. Clinicians have been trained to treat domestic violence batterers. The goal is for participants to not continue to engage in assaultive or coercive behavior, including physical, sexual or psychological attacks as well as economic coercion against an intimate partner.

It’s Bauer’s belief that men who use violence can be held accountable for their behavior and simultaneously encouraged to change it; and that women and children can benefit from this approach.
